A Documentary Account of the Anti-Japanese War in Jin, Ji, and Yu

The victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War holds immense historical significance. Viewed historically and dialectically, this tragic chapter in human history was a catastrophe for society and a devastating calamity for human civilization. Yet it also ushered in a new era in human history and had a far-reaching impact on the postwar world. It helped bring about a relatively peaceful era based on a balance of power; encouraged national liberation in some colonial countries; led to the founding of many socialist nations; spurred economic, political, and social reforms in capitalist countries; advanced science and technology around the world; advanced military technology and theory; brought about a great revolution in human understanding of the present; and deepened the world's awareness of the importance of peace.
