Siheyuan: The Master Chef System Clears a Rooster's Name

He Yuzhu transmigrated into the courtyard and became Silly Zhu, the sucker everyone took advantage of. A sign-in System gave him a personal space and a master chef System, letting him stash things away where no one could get at them. But before he had time to figure it all out, Banggeng stole a chicken from Xu Damao's house and swiped soy sauce from the canteen. At the courtyard meeting, everyone surrounded his pot of chicken and mushroom stew.

Xu Damao insisted the stolen goods were in the pot. Second Master was eager to convict Silly Zhu, First Master wanted to settle things internally, and Qin Huairu was determined to make He Yuzhu pay to take the fall for her son. The old Silly Zhu would probably have ended up shouldering the blame again. But He Yuzhu was completely unfazed. Smiling, he brought up old grievances: Xu Damao had lost a hen, but the pot clearly held a rooster. He turned around a forty-yuan compensation claim and made Xu Damao swallow it himself.

The moment the lid came off, the whole courtyard could smell the delicious aroma, but no one could hide the difference between a rooster and a hen. The real chicken thief was still hiding in the shadows, and everyone looking to take advantage had been silenced. No one was getting a bite of that chicken. The real show was only just beginning.
