War of Resistance: Heavy Artillery Bought with Points, Eight Hundred Warriors Slaughter the Japanese Invaders

Xu Yuan wished to transmigrate to the 1937 defense of Sihang Warehouse and became the commander of the 1st Battalion, 524th Regiment. Four hundred and fifty-two men were trapped in a lonely building, facing three hundred thousand Japanese troops. Their entire stockpile consisted of five thousand bullets and four heavy machine guns. In the first round of defense from the start, Japanese combat engineers blasted open the outer wall. He charged in with a bayonet and personally stabbed an enemy sergeant through the throat, blood splashing across his face.

Fortunately, the StarCraft System activated in time: kill enemies to earn points and trade them for weapons in the shop. Quick-setting cement plugged the breach, a ZB-37 heavy machine gun was set up on the roof, a 60 mm mortar blew apart Japanese fire positions, and three armor-piercing rounds from a Boys anti-tank rifle took out three Type 94 tanks. The Japanese launched four assaults in the morning and an armored attack in the afternoon, but every time they were forced back. When binoculars across the river in the foreign concession saw the defenders blow up a tank, the whole Suzhou Creek erupted.

But the cost was just as brutal. More than sixty men had died, ammunition was running low, and the wounded were crying out for help. Xu Yuan could only send men across the river at night to recruit stragglers with silver dollars and trade for medicine. He stared at the points he'd just managed to accumulate on the System panel, ready to exchange them for another batch of heavy weapons at dawn.
