Selection criteria: 1. I try to avoid books that have been abandoned or only update once a year. Even a great book can be a chore if updates are painfully slow once you've started reading. 2. I try to recommend works of a certain caliber. I've read plenty of high-VIP novels from 2006, books from rental shops, and so on. I think I have pretty good taste by now.
