Even Broke, I'll Become the Demon King!

Yellow Fern Dungeon, Apprentice Demon King Trial.

A Demon King candidate hovered in midair. A glowing screen appeared before him, while three credit cards circled around him, spinning like fireballs.

"Roaring flames, three thousand hands, buy!"

He cast spells by swiping a card with his left hand, frantically tapped the screen with his right, and shouted stock-trading commands. Flames swept across the battlefield, pinning the hero party down so they could barely lift their heads.

On the viewing platform, the Demon King candidates trembled with excitement.

"Did you see that? Swiping a card with his left hand, trading stocks with his right, and issuing commands out loud. That's triple casting!"

"So this is the battle-stock-trading style of our Yellow Earth Ravine district?! Terrifying!"

"It's over, it's over. The hero's about to get crushed. The trial will end right here. The apprentice Demon King of Yellow Earth Ravine is his!"

At the very back of the crowd, Liu Xifa's vision went dark.

He was the top student in the city, with three SSS+ talents. He'd thought that after transmigrating to the Abyss, his academic prowess would let him crush everyone by sheer force of intellect. But... everyone else was paying to cheat!

And his account was frozen. He couldn't get a loan. He had no money!

His parents were already suspected of being heroes and had run away. His teacher had said that if he didn't take first place in the trial, he was finished too!

As the heroes were about to be crushed and the trial neared its end, Liu Xifa shouted in desperation:

"You're not fighting a traditional Demon King anymore! This won't work!"

"Just steal his credit cards already!!"
