Reflections Dance in the Ring

When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes back at you.

But if the abyss discovers that your eyes were empty to begin with, will it be afraid?

Yan Mo entered the card game differently from everyone else.

Nobody dragged him in. Nobody forced him. Nobody sent him a strange invitation. One day, he simply looked in the mirror and realized that the person in it wasn’t copying his movements.

The figure in the mirror was kneeling on the ground, holding up another mirror. Inside that mirror was another mirrored figure, holding another mirror. An infinite recursion with no end.

“You are the reflection separated from Solomon’s mirror before he became king,” the figure said. “You are not human. You are a discarded emotional organ.”

Yan Mo thought it over and said, “All right.”

Then he stepped into the card game.

This was the Grand Array Card Game: the seventy-two demons were sealed in playing cards, the twenty-two laws of the universe became the metallic order of Tarot cards, mahjong wove fate, Hanafuda summoned a hundred ghosts, Tian Jiu cards bridged yin and yang, and UNO overturned the rules themselves… Every card in the world was a weapon, a curse, and a living thing.

A one-of-a-kind premise: hundreds of card systems from across the world come together in the same deadly game. Every card has a soul, and every rule can be turned upside down. The protagonist isn’t some invincible chosen one: he’s an emotionally incomplete, death-defying “loophole in the rules,” learning from scratch what it means to be human.

On the day the reflection learns to dance, what will appear inside the circle?
