Unexpectedly, on the way, he met the princess Nimanshan from the Nu Kingdom in Chifeng who was going to Beichu to marry. She was assassinated on the mountain road at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains. Yuan Zhi was worried that the death of the princess would trigger a war between the two countries, so he pretended to be the princess and went there. After marrying each other, he would find another opportunity to escape in the future, but he witnessed with his own eyes the bloody violence in which the father and son of the Northern Chu royal family took advantage of each other and killed their brothers and imprisoned their fathers to seize the throne. In order to prevent the descendants of Northern Chu from following the same example, Yuan Zhi used Buddhist scriptures to teach Emperor Chu to awaken him, and at the same time, he protected the Chu royal family both inside and outside, until the imperial power of the three dynasties of Northern Chu was concentrated. In the end, he started well and ended well, returned to Zhengshuo, and completed his merits. During this period, Yuan Zhi also recovered the four ministers who had been reborn in Nirvana, and took the three of them back to the Nine Heavens.
