05 the Mist of Heroes

"The Mist of Chivalry" tells the story of scribe Lin Che, who witnessed the mysterious organization "Mist" publicly expose its hypocrisy at the title ceremony of "the best knight in the world" Jiang Qingliu, and discovered that the truth about his father's disgrace seven years ago was related to this. In order to find out the death of her father, Lin Che gradually stepped into a world controlled by the "Mingjing Pavilion", a remnant organization from the previous dynasty. This organization uses poison to control knights, arranges charity performances, and creates the illusion of "perfect chivalry" in exchange for court privileges. Lin Che has successively become a member of the Mist and a candidate of the Mirror Pavilion, and has three identities to deal with various forces. He discovered that his father was forced to participate in the "Xia Ming Purge" and that the founder of Mist, Yan Wuyu, was also the historian who awakened from the Mirror Pavilion. After experiencing the "Three Questions Trial" at Xixin Cliff, the exposure of hypocrisy in Black Wind Valley, and the confrontation between the Mirror Formation at the Martial Arts Conference, Lin Che finally disintegrated the Mingjing Pavilion and refused to become the new leader of the chivalry. Instead, he founded the "Jianxin Society" and advocated "not defining chivalry, not deifying good deeds, and only recording the truth." The story ends with Jiang Hu returning from "manipulated performance" to "ordinary daily life". It explores how real humanity can rebuild the glimmer of light in the broken lenses after chivalry has been alienated into a tool of social control. When the fog clears, no heroes are born, only everyone learns how to be a clear and imperfect mirror in their own lives.
