The Historian’s Pen Imprisons the Dragon

Alternate history, political intrigue, fantasy, Eastern fantasy, twists, epic, revenge, sacrifice, ensemble cast, fate In the seventeenth year of Chengping, the young emperor Xiao Jue sits on a dragon throne steeped in a century of blood debts. The founding emperor seized the throne by slaying a dragon and used a Dragon-Locking Formation to prolong the dynasty’s fate, but in doing so he laid the groundwork for a curse that would endure for a hundred years. At court, upright officials and corrupt powerbrokers struggle for dominance. Deep within the palace, survivors of the previous dynasty and avengers lie in wait. Far out in the martial world, the dragon veins stir and the earth’s energy surges. Shen Yan, the last straight-talking scribe of the Shen family, lays down his life to reveal the truth. The physician Su Mo’er, carrying dragon blood, leaps into the abyss with the wishes of the dead. Qing Luan, the orphaned daughter of the Liu family, wavers between destruction and redemption. And Xiao Jue, a ruler whose blood carries both sin and salvation, must fight a path to survival for his crumbling realm amid conspiracies, betrayal, and powers beyond the mortal world. This is a desperate gamble with the whole realm at stake: the victor writes history, while the loser’s soul is erased. A century of feuds and a millennium of karmic debts will be settled here.
