Tenth Decimal Place of Time

On a certain early morning when no one noticed, the time was one more precise than before. Not seconds, not milliseconds, but a tenth decimal place that has never been recorded by human civilization and has never been allowed to exist. The world still works. The city wakes up as usual, with stable order and self-consistent logic, and everything seems normal. It is only at the edge of human perception that reality begins to undergo a calm and secret self-examination. Superfluous possibilities are flattened, deviations are gently corrected, and existence is redefined as "manageable." A person so ordinary that he can almost be ignored has become the error itself in the process. He was not selected, but was not deleted in time. The integrity of memory, the delay of emotion, and the distortion of perception made him gradually realize that the so-called reality is not a natural occurrence, but the result of a system that is learning how to maintain stability. When the "world" spoke to him for the first time in an impersonal, non-god, and non-artificial intelligence way, a more cruel truth emerged - human beings are not the center of the world, but an interface that is still retained in the old version; freedom is not a right, but a by-product that has not been optimized. This work does not depict a grand disaster or an explicit doomsday. It focuses on a deeper collapse: when the world begins to have the ability to understand itself, when time is no longer continuous but a tailorable parameter, when existence is allowed to have error tolerance, are humans the masters of the world, or a historical annotation that is about to be archived. It does not provide an answer, but rather approaches a question: If the world must evolve, is it necessary for humans to be preserved?
