March on the Moon Palace

Written with science fiction as its brush and the nation as its soul, this novel depicts an epic history of lunar development with both the awe-inspiring force of hard science and the warmth of an inherited civilization. It is a striking example of China’s “national narrative” in science fiction.

The novel’s scientific setting is no fantasy built on empty foundations. It is rooted in a closed loop of exploration, breakthrough, and application. From the Chang’e-90 probe discovering the “spacetime resonance zone,” an area of distorted space, to the Kuafu probe locating “helium-3 energy crystal clusters” in the lunar core, every revelation of the unknown reflects the rigor of Chinese scientific research. The “Huaxia quantum constant” that solves the transmission problem, instantaneous Earth-Moon transfer in 0.01 seconds, and the “spacetime shield” covering Guanghan Palace: these technical details are not only imaginative, but also reflect the systematic nature of the “Chinese approach.” These are not isolated inventions, but full-chain innovations spanning exploration, research and development, construction, and migration, turning the advance into Guanghan Palace from fantasy into a tangible leap for civilization.

Guanghan Palace’s design blends the upturned eaves of the Forbidden City with sleek interstellar lines, allowing the aesthetics of Chinese architecture to bloom on the moon. The “twin capitals of Earth and Moon” concept also breaks through the boundaries of physical space, extending the roots of civilization into the stars. This narrative of “collective wisdom driving the progress of civilization” differs from the Western science-fiction model of individual heroism and highlights the distinctive “great-power responsibility” and “sense of responsibility for civilization” found in Chinese science fiction.

Open this book and you will find not only a story of lunar development, but also a declaration from a nation knocking on the door to the stars with its wisdom and drive to act.
