Long Song of Nuclear Winter

A global nuclear war caused by a misjudgment by a superpower's AI system wiped out human civilization within 24 hours. I managed to escape into an abandoned military base and formed a team with a group of survivors. In the eternal night covered by radiation dust, we encountered a sect that believed in the "God of Purification" and a warlord who relied on experiments on living people to find anti-radiation vaccines. As the team members were dragged away one by one as experimental subjects, I detonated the nuclear warhead deep in the base. The bright light of the explosion tore through the darkness and instantly melted the ice, snow and enemies within a hundred miles. After the smoke and dust cleared, we hugged the only newborn in the swaddle and stepped towards the faint greenery in the distance.
