After My Confession to Auntie Was Rejected, I Became Her Cat

Shi Ning has a secret: she has a crush on Aunt Lin, who has supported her for ten years.

On her eighteenth birthday, she works up the courage to confess, only to be coldly rejected.

What’s more, the woman vanishes without a trace overnight, disappearing from her world completely.

Shi Ning once thought nothing could be more devastating. Then, on her way home after drinking to drown her sorrows, she gets into a car accident. When she wakes up, she’s become a cat.

Stranded on a street corner in an unfamiliar city, bullied by other cats and eyed hungrily by vicious dogs, she feels even more hopeless as a cat.

Just as she crouches in the rain, cold and hungry, a pair of feet appears before her, and a familiar voice comes from above.

“Come home with me.”

Just like that rainy night ten years ago.

The woman cradles the tiny creature in her arms, carries her home with the utmost care, and lovingly tends to her.

Looking at that beautiful, gentle face, Shi Ning nuzzles into her arms. Maybe being her cat isn’t so bad after all.

Lin Shiyin is known in the investment banking world as a cool, rational beauty. In all the years her acquaintances have known her, they’ve never seen her lose her temper or let her emotions get the better of her.

Only that one incident kept this even-tempered woman at home for an entire month. When she finally appeared again, her once beautiful eyes were swollen and shattered, their former light gone.

As a cat, Shi Ning takes advantage of her feline body every day to beg Aunt Lin for kisses and cuddles. Life is even more comfortable than it was when she was human.

Until one day, she accidentally discovers a box hidden deep in Aunt Lin’s study. Inside are all the letters Shi Ning has written to her over the years, along with photos of herself. She remembers how Aunt Lin often slips into the study late at night, holding a similar box and quietly crying.

Suddenly, Shi Ning no longer wants to stay a cat.

Lin Shiyin has a secret, too: she’s fallen for a girl she shouldn’t love.
