A Quiet Retreat

Several days later, Murong Heng stood by the small window, calmness in his eyes. Hearing footsteps, he looked up and saw Shen Yi.

"Young Master Shen, thank you for saving me," Murong Heng said with a respectful bow.

"It's nothing." Shen Yi stretched. "I just figured that anyone who goes out of their way to apologize for a mistake that had nothing to do with them must be a good person. Saving a good person doesn't go against my conscience."

"Though it is a little foolish."

Shen Yi gave a soft snort. Then he walked over to the little window and gazed up at the sky.

The sun emerged after the rain, and a lively smile appeared on Murong Heng's face. "Young Master Shen, the sky has cleared."
