Journey Across the Flat Sands

During the Xuande era, the court's rule was still unstable, the northern frontier was restless, the sovereign distrusted his ministers, and rumors spread throughout the martial world.

When a lost Imperial Jade Seal and a possibly fake Dragon Pearl became the focus of various factions, undercurrents surged beneath the calm surface.

Xu Qingci, a descendant of a fallen sect who had been living quietly in Shu Commandery, set out with her cousin Xu Qingheng to visit the Xue residence, only to be inexplicably drawn into a struggle in the martial world.

From the heroine's perspective:

Xu Qingci had never had great ambitions or ideals, and had never given much thought to the future.

Then one day, someone broke into Pingsha Slope. She rescued a young man in distress, and later entered the wider world with her cousin. Only then did she realize how vast it was.

Yet for all its vastness, the world brought her face-to-face with that same "young man in distress" once more.

Main couple: Xu Qingci, a practical, tough-minded woman devoted to mechanical traps and hidden weapons, X Chu Ye, a free-spirited young gentleman who has studied a wide range of disciplines and values loyalty above life and death.
