Li Huaye is an ordinary NPC in a popular mobile game, and every day she has to deal with all kinds of bizarre players.

The game shuts down for maintenance once a week, right on schedule. During maintenance, the NPCs gather to gossip, talk about the weird players they've met that week, and chat about all the latest in-game news.

The big news this week is that God (the game's developers) seems to have picked a fight with the players.

It's because so many players have complained that the latest story is nonsensical, the plot is clichéd and unoriginal, the characters are out of character and badly written, and God has run out of ideas...

God seems to have decided to fight back against the players, making sweeping changes to the script.

Li Huaye and the others all know that, according to the original script, this was a happy ending story. And throughout the entire script, Li Huaye had no name. She was just the most ordinary NPC imaginable.

But then God changed things...

And just like that, Li Huaye, an insignificant extra no one cared about, was pulled into the spotlight and turned into a hidden boss secretly admired by the final boss.

Her abilities also surged with the updates, making her a completely overpowered, top-tier character who could slaughter the entire cast.

Li Huaye's once-deserted home has now become a bustling tourist spot where players check in.

But that's not even the biggest problem.

Think about the script she'll have to act out from now on, the boss who was once completely unrelated to her but is now in love with her, and the three "children" who used to be ordinary colleagues but have now become her family...
