[One Piece] The Male Lead Is King

(Originally planned as a Zoro story, but I couldn't think of anything, so I switched to a different upcoming story. Feel free to remove it from your collection.)

(I'll change the title once I think of one.)

Blurb:

I grew up in a laboratory and have the abilities of two Artificial Devil Fruits. My neighbor in the lab is Abel, who has a pair of wings. I run over every day to pluck his feathers for fun.

One day, our boss rescued us, and we joined his pirate crew along the way.

Abel became the boss's right-hand man and the second strongest person in the crew.

And me...

Thank you, boss, for not kicking me out of the crew :)

Bonus Scene

Quirites: Wait, who exactly is using the Love-Love Fruit?! Weren't we told it could petrify people? Why hasn't it worked on anyone?

The ever-helpful Queen offers a suggestion: Doesn't the Love-Love Fruit only work on people who have feelings for you? Why not try using it on King?

Quirites: It worked! Hey, he's petrified! Hey, I undid it. Hey, he's petrified again! I'll undo it again. ...This is fun!

King (drawing his sword): Queen, if you've got a death wish, I'll kill you today.

Queen: She's the one using her Devil Fruit powers. Shouldn't you take it up with her?! What does any of this have to do with innocent me.jpg

Reader's Guide:

(Important!) This is a self-indulgent story written for my own enjoyment. There's a good chance I'll get completely absorbed in my own artistic vision while writing it.

1. The main story is told in third person.

2. This isn't a plot-driven power fantasy, just a sweet little romance. The heroine doesn't need to be strong, and won't take part in the main plot.

3. Yes, the heroine is really weak. She only uses her Devil Fruit ability in weird ways.

4. Daily-life focused, with the Beasts Pirates taking center stage. King is the male lead.
