[DC] The Unfamiliar League

The protagonist is an amnesiac unlucky soul plucked from the cracks between multiple universes and brought into the world of a world-consciousness. All he remembers is that his name is Bruce Wayne. He remembers nothing else.

Bruce: Huh? Batman? Are you calling me?

What's that supposed to be.jpg

He somehow ended up in some inexplicable world, where an inexplicable world-consciousness assigned him an inexplicable script-acting task. After being inexplicably confused for a while, Bruce inexplicably accepted.

Well, when in Rome, I guess. (gazes into the distance)

Even if it means one person has to play every NPC in an entire universe, making them follow the script and turn against one another and slaughter each other, twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty-four days a year, without a break.

But whatever. The living might not be able to handle this workload, but he isn't alive, either.

Anyway, after poring over the scripts for a long time, Bruce decides to start with the Justice Lords setting. Maybe it isn't the best opening story, but the entire world took so much work to build. He should use the set more than once, right? It can't just be a one-use prop. And the Justice Lords script makes the greatest demands on how complete the set needs to be, while causing the least destruction, so of course it should go first. (solemnly)

But wait, even if the number of secret identities doesn't match the number of roles in the script, there's no need to have the official superheroes from another universe make a guest appearance out of the goodness of their hearts! (horrified)

Wake up, you've got the wrong place.jpg

PS:

1. This is an unconventional secret identity story. The secret identities really don't know each other. They all appeared in their twenties or thirties. (looks away) The protagonist's amnesia is real, too. (Even without amnesia, he wouldn't know the Justice League.) (quietly)

2. Because of the premise, each secret identity has their own brand of absurdity. Batman is the most normal, but he'll also undergo some unspeakable changes. (looks away)

3. Because of the author's own preferences, there will be plenty of Bruce/Batman shipping in the story, but at heart, it's a no-couple story. (quietly)

4. And, as usual, a disclaimer: OOC warning, mountains of personal headcanons, chaotic timeline, and some characters who don't exist in canon. Don't ask. If you do, I'll say this is my own world, and I'll lose myself in my own unhinged art, far removed from reality.
