A Thousand Wishes

Twenty years ago, General Song's first wife was six months pregnant when she died in an accident in the south.

By the time her body, close to giving birth, was brought back to the capital for burial, it was too disfigured to recognize.

Twenty years later, the legitimate daughter of the Song family, already laid to rest alongside her mother, returned with a mystery in tow to reclaim her place in the family.

Everyone said the eldest Miss Song was a wild country girl raised by a hunter.

Many people mocked and bullied her, openly and behind her back.

Little did they know she was skilled with explosives, could train snakes, understood medicine, and was a martial arts expert.

More importantly, she was the only woman favored by Nanxi, the only younger brother of the emperor.

No one knew the road she had walked, step by step, from beggar to where she stood.

All they knew was that she had leapt from being the general's legitimate daughter to becoming a county princess, all thanks to good fortune.

Everything she did was to avenge her mother.

Once she had found the answers, fame and fortune meant no more to her than passing clouds.

She let it all go, wanting only to travel the world and live life on her own terms.
