He's Handsome and Can Cook

Wen Xi has liked plenty of men, but never managed to get one.

Plenty of men have liked her too, but not one of them met her standards.

Eventually, she stopped caring about men. She decided she was simply destined for unrequited love.

Then she met Liu Qinheng.

He’s good-looking enough, and he’s a great cook. She falls for the sight of him bustling around the kitchen in an apron.

Just as she’s worrying that confessing will end in failure like all the times before, he goes and confesses to her first.

Oh my gosh, mutual love can happen to her too!

All right, then. Let’s date.

Before meeting Wen Xi, Liu Qinheng always thought love was simple. Women would come to him, he’d pick one he liked, and everything else would fall into place.

So when he realizes he’s in love with Wen Xi, only to be met with her cold indifference, he discovers just how difficult it is to pursue a girl.

Thankfully, his careful efforts finally pay off.

Now that he has this hard-won love, he’ll cherish it and nurture it.

(I wrote this story because of a divorced female friend of mine. At thirty, she faced pressure from her family to get married, as well as criticism, but she stuck to her principles and waited for the right person. At last, she met a wonderful younger man and found sweet love. P.S. Although he’s a sweet younger guy, he’s capable and successful in his career. I followed her story and wrote this. It’s not really related, but I suppose it’s something I hope for. Because she held on, she got what she wanted.)
