Shapeshifter Food Tasting Shop

Born That Way, Quietly Becoming That Way / The Shapeshifter Food Experience Store

Interstellar / frontier development / infrastructure building / supernatural abilities / lighthearted

In the interstellar age, Qin Zhen heads to a remote planet to develop its barren land.

By chance, he becomes the guardian of shapeshifters stranded in the galaxy.

He originally plans to live off his guardian subsidy and wait to die.

But the food he’s assigned is far too bland.

So he has no choice but to take the shapeshifters to farm and raise livestock.

He doesn’t expect the shapeshifters to be farming geniuses, with a bumper harvest to show for it, so he opens a specialty food store.

He doesn’t expect the shapeshifters to be business prodigies, with customers pouring in, so he opens a hotel to accommodate them.

He doesn’t expect the shapeshifters to be planning geniuses, so they develop massage parlors, hot springs, amusement parks, and resorts.

With its thriving commercial district, his barren planet gradually becomes the galaxy’s CBD.

Later, the Interstellar Foreign Affairs Department sends his shapeshifters back to their homeworld.

Qin Zhen is left alone, living in a mansion, eating delicious food, and counting more money than he can ever spend.

A few months later, a luxury spaceship stops above his planet.

His shapeshifters come down from it,

with a baby in their arms who looks remarkably like him.
