My Nen Ability Is the Siren's Kiss

(Headcanon and alternate-universe warning. Mary Sue fiction, with multiple endings. It makes perfect sense for the Hunter world to have merfolk.jpg After drowning in a shipwreck, Palika discovered she had become a merfolk child. She thought she’d been handed a reincarnation story in another world, with a path of adventure and leveling up ahead. So she trained hard and diligently, waiting for the day she could finally set foot on land and unlock a new map. Decades later, Palika, having just left childhood and entered adolescence, found a man who had nearly “drowned” in the sea. The man was thrilled to see a merfolk and introduced himself: “I’m Ging! A professional Hunter!” Palika: ? So she really had come to the HxH world!!! … Merfolk: intelligent, long-lived beings of the sea. Their primary means of reproduction is feeding and mating. Legend has it that merfolk are all female. To ensure their kind survives, they use their songs to lure humans into the deep sea, then eat them to reproduce. As expected, Palika, a transmigrator, became an oddity among the merfolk. She didn’t want to eat people or lay merfolk eggs. She was intensely curious about everything, and to satisfy her curiosity, she would even rescue people and ask them about the human world. Palika wanted to grow legs, go to land, meet interesting people, and experience interesting things. Spiky-haired boy: Palika knows my dad? Then let’s go find him together! Heir to a family of assassins: If you’re such a bleeding heart, stick close to me unless you want to die in some forgotten corner one day. Last descendant of the Scarlet Eyes: After meeting you, I don’t feel so lonely anymore. … They say a merfolk’s kiss can heal any wound and let people breathe underwater. Follow the merfolk’s song, hazy in the mist, into the depths. Share everything in your life with her, and stay together forever. [[[If you bring up unrelated stories in my comments, I’ll delete them. I also don’t want my story mentioned in other people’s comment sections.]]] [[[The cover was commissioned, and I may change it often to different styles. The character art was also commissioned, and that’s Parika, hehe.]]] … Coming Soon 1: "If I Can’t Be a Pokémon Trainer, I’ll Have to Go the Beast-Taming Route" Blurb: Nie Dong, an avid Pokemon fan, woke up one day to find she had transmigrated to another world. This world no longer had separate countries. To fight the calamity of anomalous creatures known as “Phantoms,” all of humanity had united into the League of Legends. The war between the League of Legends and the Phantoms had gone on for over a century, with both sides suffering heavy losses every time. As Nie Dong watched a cat-shaped Phantom sneak into her home to steal food, then give her a pitiful look after being caught Nie Dong: ??? Stop right there! What on earth are you doing, League of Legends?! These aren’t anomalous creatures at all. They’re Pokemon! (shouting) … The hundredth year after the Phantoms descended upon the world was known as the Year of Divine Revelation. A young woman named Nie Dong emerged from the human League of Legends, completely changing the way humans and Phantoms lived alongside each other. Under her guidance, people came to understand Phantoms and learned to coexist peacefully with them. After that, the war between humans and Phantoms ended, and the profession of beast tamer became the world’s mainstream occupation. Nie Dong, having established the world’s new order, used her influence to make an announcement “I’m going to hold the world’s first Phantom League Championship. The winner will be awarded the title of Phantom Master.” “Who’s in favor? Who’s against?” The voters she’d recruited to her side: Who else could be the world’s one and only recognized Phantom Master but you? … Coming Soon 2: "The Female Side Character in an Explicit Western Fantasy Novel" Blurb: After transmigrating into a Western fantasy world as a candidate for the Church’s Saintess, Ivette thought she’d be set for life, with all her needs taken care of. Then she learned she’d actually landed in an explicit Western fantasy novel, as a disposable female side character. Ivette fell into a deep silence. The bad news: The plot had begun, and she’d already been cursed by an incubus. Not only was she about to be accused of consorting with a demon, she also had to have sex to survive, or her magic would wither and kill her. The good news: There’s always a way out! She can still salvage this!!! … The Demon King Sathoen possessed eternal life and an indestructible soul. His nemesis, the God of Light, had dismembered him and sealed his body parts in different places. Three thousand years passed. As the seal weakened, Sathoen suddenly sensed that one of his hands had been summoned into the mortal world. Sathoen: Wonderful! It must be one of my followers… Wait! Why is the person who summoned one of his body parts doing that with his hand?! Ivette: Sob, is my magic too weak? Why did I only summon this thing? Whatever, it’ll do as long as it works. _(:з"∠)_ … Any sin can be forgiven by passing the Church’s selection ritual. The selection ritual is nearly certain death. To save his family, Alan took his sister’s place at the Church and became a “trainee saintess.” As long as Alan was careful, his innate magical talent would keep anyone from discovering his identity. Until one night, his classmate Ivette, who had been with him every day, fell into his arms, her cheeks flushed. She whispered, “Alan, I’m so hot…” … To “resurrect” the legendary Demon King Sathoen, Noel decided to choose a host. A ritual would make the host pregnant, and the child she bore would be Sathoen in infant form. Noel chose Saintess Ivette. The thought of a saintess who served the God of Light carrying a demon’s child… Just imagining it made him grin with excitement. But later, Noel regretted it. He stopped thinking about resurrecting the Demon King and started thinking about… killing the king and taking his place. Theme: Love can conquer everything and embrace everything.
