Even My Bodhisattva Sheds Blood

[Narcissus romance, switching roles | Past and present lives]

Transmigrated young doctor x tyrant who gets a headache if he doesn’t kill

Ji Laizhi transmigrates to ancient times and meets a tyrant who looks exactly like him.

The tyrant is killing someone. He approaches with his sword, lifts Ji Laizhi’s chin, and asks with keen interest, “Are you the soul from another world that now inhabits my body?”

Ji Laizhi is stunned. “Do I have a mental illness?”

The tyrant asks in confusion, “What is ‘Splendid Scenery Ice’? Why do you have it, but I don’t?”

Ji Laizhi gives an awkward laugh. “I think you have it too.”

The tyrant keeps killing, slaughtering ministers, consorts, and commoners until rivers of blood flow and the realm falls into chaos.

He even forces the young doctor to take up a sword, whispering seductively in his ear: “You can do it, my darling.

“That day, you saw a corpse drenched in blood and didn’t even flinch. That’s when I knew we were alike.”

Ji Laizhi closes his eyes. “You kill. I save lives.”

The tyrant asks, “Are you a Bodhisattva?”

At the end of his tether, Ji Laizhi pins the tyrant’s scabbard and tilts his head to ask, “Would you like to be the first person a Bodhisattva kills?”

Later, Ji Laizhi regains his memories of his past life and learns the truth.

Standing before the tyrant as he lies on the brink of death, Ji Laizhi raises his sword for him.

Blood sprays across the white blade. The tyrant laughs with excitement. “You broke your vow not to kill after all.”

“Only I can make you fall for someone in this world.”

The Bodhisattva looks up. “It’s the urge to kill.”

Amid a sea of blood and corpses, the tyrant embraces him, laughing in madness and satisfaction. “Little Bodhisattva, the urge to kill is still an urge.”
