The Evil God Won't Ascend to the Ninth Heaven

Bai Jingnian and Yin Shixin are seamsters at the Wuxiang Pavilion beneath the Sun-Moon Mountain, a hub between Heaven and Earth.

They sew clothes for the souls of the dead.

They trained under the same master and grew up together,

so Yin Shixin treats Bai Jingnian as more dear than his own brother.

But Bai Jingnian comes from a family of sorcerers, while Yin Shixin is an obscure nobody from the lowest rung of society. Everyone else therefore treats Yin Shixin as Bai Jingnian's servant.

Though, in other people's eyes, Bai Jingnian's status isn't anything to boast about either.

Because he was cursed by Heaven, and everyone knows it!

"Useless" has always secretly followed Bai Jingnian around.

He thought that with Yin Shixin, his caring senior fellow apprentice, paving the way,

he could simply lie flat until he died.

He never expected that, in the end, Bai Jingnian would become the only god of the Age of Declining Dharma...

Bai Jingnian: No matter how wonderful the Ninth Heaven is, I'm not going. I'll stay right here and wait for Senior Brother to come home!

Theme: Cause and effect.
