The Chaoshan Wife Says No, but the Harbin Boss Insists on Yes

A Chaoshan cat-like cafe owner x a Northeast tiger-like entrepreneur

Xia Mingshuo is a Northeastern man, a big name in the art world, a 193-centimeter muscleman with a thick Northeastern accent. He fell in love with Chen Ersi at first sight and lost his head on the spot. He pursues him with brute force and sincerity, calling him “wife” nonstop, from the Northeast all the way to Guangdong.

Chen Ersi is a fashionable Chaoshan native in Beijing, a cat-cafe owner, and a soft but mighty 175-centimeter dynamo. He seems as unruffled as a chrysanthemum, but secretly holds grudges. The pursuit-forgiveness arc has that Northeastern man burning with desire.

Xia Mingshuo nervously asked Chen Ersi for his WeChat. After scanning the code, he saw that Chen Ersi had been in his contacts all along.

So he was the gaming partner I dumped back then!

Winning him back won’t be so easy this time.

[Bonus scene]

Xia Mingshuo: “Wife, why are you so fair?”

Chen Ersi: “Chaoshan people don’t tan.”

Xia Mingshuo: “Wife, you sound so nice when you talk, like you’re singing.”

Chen Ersi: “Chaoshan dialect is naturally soft.”

Xia Mingshuo: “Wife, try cursing me.”

Chen Ersi: “Wa m ng ma ngi.” (I won’t curse you.)

Xia Mingshuo: “…Good heavens, even your cursing sounds so nice.”
