Surrounded by My Volleyball-Obsessed Twin Childhood Friends

25.7.17

My name is Shizuru Hajime. In shonen manga, having a childhood friend is practically a protagonist's standard equipment.

But I'm different. I have two childhood friends who look exactly alike. That's right, no childhood friend who's a girl, only two boys.

"Hajime! Let's go play volleyball!"

Atsumu leaped onto the bed, and Hajime squeaked like a toy being squeezed, making muffled sounds under the covers as Atsumu bounced around.

"You're going to smother Hajime like that, you idiot Atsumu!"

Osamu swiftly scooped Hajime out. "There, now we're good. Let's go play volleyball!"

Isn't six in the morning when people are supposed to be asleep? Hajime struggled to open his eyes.

Completely out of energy, Hajime lay sprawled on the floor. No matter how much his teammates poked him, he refused to expend the effort to stretch. His gemlike pale blue eyes closed too.

Here we go again, Hajime.

The twins held out their hands to him, practiced as could be.

A moment later, Hajime, still groggy as the twins helped him stretch, reached out. They immediately grabbed his wrists.

"Let's go."

With a tug, one of them hoisted him onto his back. The other let go of his back and said easily,

"Off we go."

Shizuru means a river flowing quietly; Hajime means one and only.

A name like that always brings to mind a quiet, beautiful boy, and he lived up to everyone's expectations. He grew into a tall, slender young man with looks that could leave people dazzled.

Except when he was playing volleyball.

"Bang!" A tremendous spike echoed across the entire court.

Bokuto stiffly lowered his head. Sigh... That guy's a powerhouse! His play doesn't match his name at all!

My impression of him has been turned upside down! Completely upside down!

"Hey, aren't those three a little too clingy?"

Kuroo frowned. Why did they have to look so reluctant to part even while doing their punishment?

The twins each grabbed one of Hajime's hands and dragged him along as they ran.

"They're childhood friends, right?" Aran said, not at all surprised.

Kuroo, who also had a childhood friend: ?

That can't be right!
