After I Entered My Nemesis's Unspeakable Dream

Synopsis

An Baijia transmigrates into the body of a cannon-fodder child emperor in a political intrigue novel. The emperor had planned to murder the protagonist, Yin Xun, only to be sent off by the protagonist with a cup of poisoned wine.

By the time An Baijia transmigrates, the child emperor has already done everything he was supposed to do in the original story. There's nothing An Baijia can do except wait to die.

On the first day of waiting to die,

An Baijia sees five-year-old Yin Xun in a dream.

At this point, Yin Xun is hungry, cold, covered in wounds, and wary but pitiful.

An Baijia's heart softens. It takes getting his hands scratched up before he can convince the little wolf cub that he means no harm.

For several days in a row, he waits to die in the imperial palace by day, then appears beside Yin Xun at night, staying with him as he grows from a little boy into a teenager.

He keeps Yin Xun company right up until the day he's supposed to die. The night before, he plans to say goodbye, but Yin Xun is tormented by an erotic dream and, upon opening his eyes, pulls An Baijia into bed.

!

He's going to die tomorrow! Why does he have to help the protagonist with this sort of problem before he dies?

Yin Xun, consumed by desire, kisses him. "I'll do anything you ask. Please, don't leave."

An Baijia's will to survive flickers to life. "...Then can you spare the child emperor?"

"...All right."

-

Lately, Yin Xun has been dreaming every night of all the pivotal moments in his life when he survived by the skin of his teeth.

Unlike his memories, someone else appears in these dreams.

That person stays with him through some of the hardest days of his life.

When he wakes, all the old injuries and ailments he's suffered since childhood have miraculously healed.

But once the dream ends, he can't remember what that person looks like.

In another dream, he catches hold of that person. This time, he feels every inch of them, not just their face.

As they entwine, he asks what they want. They say they want the child emperor to live.

After waking, he looks at the child emperor in the palace. The man is completely useless.

That person's one and only request was for this good-for-nothing!

Will that person only visit him in his dreams if this good-for-nothing is in mortal danger?
