Help! The Little Merman Is Trying to Jump into the Sea Again!

At four in the morning, beside a cross-sea bridge, retired hitman Lu Ze rescues a boy who is trying to end his life.

The boy is sweet and adorable, clever and bright. Lu Ze has been taking care of him for over half a year, but the boy's desire to die has not lessened in the slightest.

Lu Ze only has to fall asleep, and the boy will climb into the bathtub and pretend to be seafood.

Lu Ze takes him to the aquarium, and the boy jumps into a tank to swim alongside the sharks.

Even when Lu Ze is exchanging fire with his former organization, the boy dares to stand in front of him with a hand on the gun barrel.

To bring back the boy's love of life, Lu Ze has no choice but to hold him every night and tell him bedtime stories, set up a pretty fish tank at home, and keep his weapons room securely locked.

But the boy's passion for life never returns. Instead, Lu Ze falls helplessly in love.

In the year he loves him most, after the boy tries to jump into the sea yet again, Lu Ze says, "You jump, I jump," and takes him over a pitch-black cliff and down into the sea. Just as Lu Ze closes his eyes, convinced he's about to die, someone slaps him across the face.

The boy opens his deep blue eyes and says two words underwater:

"You idiot."

Then the pair of long legs before him slowly turn into a fish tail.

The little mermaid Ning Che really, really, really hates humans (and especially Lu Ze!!!)

This man has fished him out of the comfortable river three times, carried him out of a hot tub four times, and even ruined his plan to meet the sharks once!

He also tried to murder him with his scorching body, scared him with mermaid stories about merfolk who had lost their tails, and imprisoned him in an apartment full of firearms and surveillance cameras!

He makes him inexplicable meals, buys him inexplicable clothes, and inexplicably wipes his tears on him all the time.

That sinister, arrogant human. If Ning Che weren't so kind-hearted, the despicable Lu Ze would have died a hundred times over!

He reluctantly agrees to share Lu Ze's bed, for the sake of the delicious ice cream.

He reluctantly kisses Lu Ze as a blessing, since he got him a new storybook.

He reluctantly helps Lu Ze deal with the assassins who suddenly show up at the villa, since he secretly ate the fish in the aquarium.

Ning Che thought he already doted on the human enough. But one night, Lu Ze suddenly says a bunch of inexplicable things and jumps off a cliff with him!

Idiot, idiot, idiot human!

Ning Che uses his beautiful fish tail to trap Lu Ze firmly on his throne, and serves him terrible seafood and terrifying mermaid fairy tales!

"Do you understand now just how awful you are?!"

"I do. So are you going to imprison me now, Your Majesty the Mermaid?"

Retired bounty hunter and emotionally detached hitman top x secretly powerful, adorable merman bottom. Bottom's point of view, one-on-one romance.
