After My Terminal Diagnosis, I Slept with My Ex

The day he was diagnosed, Jiang Gu crouched in the hospital corridor, deleting items from his bucket list.

Get a kitten (deleted)

See the Northern Lights in Tromso (deleted)

Hold an art exhibition for my thirtieth birthday (deleted)

At the very end, only one wish remained:

Sleep with Zhao Zhiyu.

Zhao Zhiyu was his family, his older brother, and his ex-boyfriend. He was the most hypocritical, cold-hearted, and despicable person Jiang Gu had ever known.

It took Jiang Gu three years to win him over. Zhao Zhiyu needed only three days to send him abroad.

So now that Jiang Gu was going to die, why should Zhao Zhiyu get to be happy?

With only that last wish left, Jiang Gu took a twenty-hour flight back to China.

At a party, he took Zhao Zhiyu's hand and called him "Brother," all innocence and wide-eyed wonder.

After an argument, he let the scars on his wrist show, looking pitiful and fragile.

When he got drunk, he fell into Zhao Zhiyu's arms, beautiful and seductive.

The morning after, he hooked an arm around Zhao Zhiyu's neck. "Brother, do you love me?"

"I do."

Blood welled from the corner of his lips. Jiang Gu closed his eyes in satisfaction.

Zhao Zhiyu, of course you have to love me.

That way, when I die, you'll grieve for me forever.

That way, when I die, every moment, every minute, every second of your future will remind you of how I spent those five years.

"Zhao Zhiyu, have you ever regretted it?"

The hospital room was quiet and white. Zhao Zhiyu looked at the cold gaze of the person lying in bed.

Of course I have regrets.

I've regretted so many things in this life.

Losing your glass marble when you were five, doing your homework for you when you were ten, secretly kissing you while you slept at fifteen, waiting all night outside your apartment when you were twenty, and forgetting to warn you that it would snow that day...

But you have to be alive for any of that to matter.

"It's all right." The knife slipped from Jiang Gu's palm. He saw the self-mocking smile at the corner of Zhao Zhiyu's mouth. "But if you die, why should your big brother get to be happy?"

A ruthless, obsessive, devoted gong x a sickly, calculating, possessive shou. They are only fake siblings, not listed in the same household registration. The gong isn't a scumbag, the shou will recover, and it has a happy ending, a happy ending!!!!
