The Sickly Master Replaces His Disciple in Falling into Darkness

Ye Qingxi: utterly ordinary, a lazy salted fish.

One car accident brought his fish life to an end.

The Temporal Administration told him, "Just complete our mission, and I guarantee you'll come back alive and be able to retire at twenty."

Ye Qingxi: "There's really a deal like that? Tell me what I have to do."

System: "Raise a child."

Ye Qingxi happily agreed. With a glitchy childcare System in tow, he transmigrated into the body of a sickly immortal lord who had nothing going for him but his looks, then conscientiously raised the little rascal Jun Zhou until he was eighteen.

Then the childcare System suddenly changed its tune.

"Please imprison your disciple in the courtyard for thirty days."

Trying to mess with me? Ye Qingxi shut his eyes on the spot.

Jun Zhou looked after him in the Chengxian Courtyard for an entire month, never leaving his side.

"Please remove the immortal bones from your disciple's body."

Ye Qingxi immediately fell critically ill.

Jun Zhou offered up his immortal bones with red-rimmed eyes. "Please, save my master."

"Please beat your disciple with the Soul-Devouring Whip."

Ye Qingxi's hand shook as he held the whip.

Jun Yue dropped to his knees with a thud. "It's my fault for falling in love with my master, which goes against all proper order. Beat me, Master, but don't let it harm your health."

With the original corruption arc so thoroughly derailed that even the protagonist's own mother wouldn't recognize it, the Temporal Administration finally stepped in to correct the story.

The newly arrived anthropomorphic System issued the final mission: "Kill your disciple."

This time, Ye Qingxi couldn't bring himself to do it.

He used an item to transfer his disciple's demonic bones into his own body, then blocked the rampaging Demon Realm of No Return with his flesh and blood, right before everyone's eyes.

He thought he could just laze around and play dead from then on, but a voice suddenly came from inside the Demon Realm: "Your changes to the story have left the demons without a leader. To make up for your mistake, you must take your disciple's place and complete the Demon Realm storyline."

Ye Qingxi: "Say that again?"

The System circled around him. "Congratulations, you're going to become the Demon Venerable who unifies the three realms."

"Dear Mr. Chosen One."

Overprotective, scheming, jealous puppy-like gong x ultimate lazy slacker, chronically idle, sickly beauty shou. Older master and younger disciple, 1v1, happy ending.
