An Atheist Forced to Become a Metaphysics Master

After three years as an overworked office worker, endless overtime, workplace stress, and a jerk of a boss using PUA tactics, Lin Yan was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

He was born with an extremely yin constitution and could see ghosts, but even though his grandfather was a charlatan, he remained a firm materialist and never believed in ghosts or gods.

After his grandfather disappeared, the seal weakened, and ghosts suddenly began appearing.

Under the pressure of endless overtime and cutthroat competition, Lin Yan suspected his awful job had finally driven him insane.

His psychologist was very professional, and immediately explained: This was perceptual dissociation caused by long-term stress, resulting in visual and auditory hallucinations. Hallucinations have no physical form and can't hurt anyone. The best way to cope is to calmly ignore them.

Worried he might die young, Lin Yan followed the doctor's advice and treated the ghosts as hallucinations.

While others used talismans, magical artifacts, and cultivation to exorcise evil, Lin Yan relied entirely on merit points and physical attacks. He even gave it a respectable motto: Believe in science, and get treatment early if you're sick!
