The Universally Hated One Is Both Stupid and Vicious

I thought I was the most important person in the family.

But I wasn't.

Dad could cut off my chance to study for the sake of my older brother's future, and Mom would take my things and give them to my younger brother just because he asked.

In the end, all they ever said was, "You're the older/younger brother. You should be more accommodating."

I thought I must have done something wrong to disappoint them. So I studied twice as hard and earned money to support the family.

But eventually, I realized that it made no difference to this family whether I was there or not.

Later, I deliberately became a delinquent. I stopped studying, spent every day getting into trouble, refused to support them, and told them they deserved to die.

They scolded me and said I had changed, that I hadn't been like this before.

I didn't think I had changed. I'd always been this way.

My older brother got into a famous university overseas, and a renowned professor took a liking to my younger brother. They took me to a restaurant to celebrate, but we got into a car accident.

I was the only one who wasn't seriously injured.

Mom told me to donate my blood to my older brother. Dad told me to give my heart to my younger brother.

But who came to check on me?

Song Yang died at the age of twenty-five in that scorching August. His parents hurriedly held his funeral, then, a few months later, immigrated overseas with the brothers whose lives had been saved by his blood and heart.

When Song Yang realized he had returned to the age of eighteen, he looked at the blackboard covered in formulas, touched his heart, and felt his pulse beating. Slowly, he smiled.

He was alive.
