Why Can't a Fairy Retire?

Tao Tao is a peach blossom spirit who has worked diligently at the Spirit Quick Transmigration Bureau for decades. He thought that once he reached retirement age, he could collect his pension and enjoy a wonderful retirement.

Who knew that a week before he was due to retire, the bureau would suddenly announce that the retirement age was being extended? He would have to work another hundred years before he could retire!

Tao Tao shouted at the bureau, "Who came up with this? Show yourself!"

The bureau director stepped in front of him, his tall figure completely blocking Tao Tao from view.

The man had a stern face and a terrifying presence. Anyone who saw him would give him a wide berth.

Tao Tao immediately fell silent and went off to do the hundred years of work he'd been assigned. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. Before heading to a small world, he pulled a dirty trick and inserted a bug into the program, binding the director to him so they would go on missions together.

As it turned out...

Tao Tao had just arrived in the first small world and was about to take out his frustration over his delayed retirement on the villain of the story when he noticed that the villain had the exact same face as the bureau director.

Worried he was seeing things, he went right up to the villain for a closer look and said, baffled, "Why do you look exactly alike?"

The man called him by his full name, his voice ominous. "Tao Tao, you've got some nerve."

Tao Tao knew from his tone that this was the bureau director himself. Terrified, he turned to run, but the man caught him by the neck, his dangerous presence closing in.

"Come on. You're not getting out of those hundred years of work. Don't even think about going back."

Tao Tao: "!!!"

Are you going to wring me dry?!
