Leopard, I Don't Know Either

Cute pets + raising kids + a little showbiz

When a clouded leopard cultivated a human form, he was struck by lightning and transported to another world, penniless and homeless.

He spent the night under a bridge fighting a homeless man over territory, and lost. From the man, he learned that someone was looking for a nanny.

So at 2:30 in the morning, the clouded leopard knocked on the door of the family hiring one.

As soon as the door opened, a four-year-old's wails filled the air.

The clouded leopard looked at the man who was still awake, wiggled his paws, bared his teeth, and said with shining eyes, "Hi! Do you need someone to look after your kid?"

The man took in his tattered appearance and furrowed his brows even more.

The clouded leopard successfully got the child to sleep with his extensive experience raising little leopards. He smiled at the man. "I'm really useful. Just give me room and board, and you won't have to worry about childcare!"

Human, say yes! I'm easy to take care of!

And so, he got to stay.

The Gu family has three treasures.

The eldest is determined to become a leading man in a billion-yuan box office hit. The director says he can't act, and he's furious. The clouded leopard comforts him: "If you can't act, you can be eye candy."

The second child comes first in the whole school on his high school midterm exams. His employer is too busy to attend the parent-teacher meeting, so the clouded leopard goes in his place, basking in the other parents' admiration and envy from start to finish.

The youngest has just started kindergarten. One day, he comes home crying and clings to the clouded leopard. "Xinxin says she has a kitty at home, and I don't!"

The clouded leopard thinks for a moment, then shows him his tail. "But you have me!"

Not long after, Gu Zhu asks, "The little one says there's a leopard in the house?"

The clouded leopard guiltily looks away. "There isn't."

After nervously keeping his secret for months, the clouded leopard relaxes when Gu Zhu doesn't bring it up again.

As the seasons change, the clouded leopard goes through the few days that every leopard gets, and Gu Zhu catches him in the act.

Unable to control himself, he pounces on Gu Zhu and bites him.

When he wakes up, the clouded leopard rubs his sore lower back. He turns his head, sees Gu Zhu beside him, and instantly bristles.

Suddenly, his tail is gripped. Gu Zhu holds it, stares at him, and asks, "How do you have a tail?"

The clouded leopard blinks, swishes his tail, and pretends to be confused. "I don't know either."

The second and third children are adopted, and the eldest is a relative.
