[Western Crossover] Going for a Full Collection in Gotham

Also titled: I'm Really Not a Scavenger, I'm Just Going for 100% Completion A year after transmigrating, you think you must be the strongest person in the game Gotham: Batman's Shadow. After all, you've completed every main quest, unlocked every skill point, and defeated the final boss. And you spent a whole 598 on this crappy game. In any game, if you spent 598 on it, you ought to be the protagonist. Especially since this game uses Gotham's name but doesn't feature a single Batman-related character. It's a complete scam. So after finishing the main quest and failing to return to your own world, you decide to make Gotham your endgame map and hunt down some collection achievements. But things don't go smoothly. A kid in a cape clings to your car on a motorcycle and asks who you are. You glance at your Batmobile and reply in a low voice, “I'm Bateman.” You earn the achievement [Family? Never Heard of It] To collect the Batman costume pieces required for [For Display Only], you climb into the Gotham sewers. A superhero cosplay fan you meet twirls a staff, gives you some lazy color-plus-animal alias, and asks your name. You calmly adjust your pumpkin cat-head helmet. “Can't you tell? I'm Orange Bat.” The kids in the East End are really worried about you. They think you must be loaded and stupid, since you keep throwing food into trash cans to feed them for the achievement [No! The Children Are Starving]. They take you to the East End's boss, the Arkham Knight in the red hood. They ask him to help take out Matches Malone, who's got his eye on you. Maybe you're... not the strongest after all? It's fine! You don't have to be the strongest! These are just minor issues. They won't affect your life. Who cares about being the strongest? Just look at what happened to the strongest characters over the past couple of years. Nobody wants to be the strongest! All you need is to rule Gotham, live like an emperor, and keep troublemakers off your back. You're brimming with confidence, certain that one day you'll get every achievement. Standing beside a gargoyle, you gaze down at the city lights and proudly unlock a new achievement: [This Is Your Gotham]. “Listen up! This is MY GOTHAM!!!” The night wind sweeps past, stirring your nonexistent cape. Satisfied, you turn around... Wait a second... Wasn't this damn game supposed to have no Batman at all? Reader's Guide: 1. A silly, OOC, slow-burn comedy of everyday life. The Batfamily is forced to play along. 2. Most of the story is based on Wayne Family Adventures, with a little from the main comics. 3. There may be tasteless jokes, offensive jokes, gallows humor, and really awful old gags. If you don't like them, run. Don't force yourself to read, and don't turn it into a moral judgment. 4. The author has no morals. 5. Writing about a murderer doesn't mean the author has killed anyone. Writing about war doesn't mean they've been to war. Writing about an orphan doesn't mean both their parents are dead. Writing about trauma from one's family of origin doesn't mean the author's family has problems. Writing about siblings doesn't mean the author has any. Writing about transmigration doesn't mean the author transmigrated too. 6. The protagonist's strength early on comes from a “Gotham-themed game featuring only street crime.” Reaching “max level” in that game is only equivalent to the level of an unofficial street-level vigilante in the real DC universe. After entering the real Gotham, he will face an entirely different power system and have to grow all over again. This is not a power fantasy where the protagonist is invincible from the start. The game the protagonist comes from is an ordinary AAA role-playing game. Please respect the rules of the world: characters can get hurt, they can fail, and they have to grow. Relationships with powerful NPCs are central to the adventure, and victories come only after a struggle. Think more of Geralt carefully managing his resources in The Witcher 3, Lara escaping pursuit while injured in Tomb Raider, or Batman planning every encounter in Batman: Arkham. If you expect the protagonist to be a Fourth Calamity who can simply steamroll Batman and every villain, this story may not be what you're looking for. Thanks for understanding. Coming soon: I Crashed and Burned After Falling in Love with a Kryptonian, a self-indulgent, melodramatic romance. How do you successfully win over a Kryptonian? Most importantly, she only has eyes for him. Every day of the honeymoon phase is impossibly sweet. Until one day... His partner Damian stops him, wearing an unusually grave expression. “Jon, Superman told me not to say this outright, but you're the kind of guy who needs a wake-up call. Have you really not noticed? When your girlfriend says she loves you, her heartbeat is as still as a pool of water.” Theme: Even amid chaos, you should stay true to yourself
