Capybara: Zen and Suddenly Famous

As a capybara, Xue Cha could eat, drink, and sleep, staying calm and enjoying a peaceful life.

After dying of old age, she opened her eyes again and found herself reborn in her previous life, with a capybara's abilities.

In her previous life, Xue Cha was a minor celebrity. She joined the hugely popular live-streaming variety show Star Zookeepers, but her poor showing in the very first episode got her dragged across the trending searches.

Reborn and back on the show, Xue Cha, the capybara, wasn't fazed by the obstacles she'd faced in her previous life.

They heard she couldn't swim, so someone pretended to slip and dragged her into the pool.

But Xue Cha not only swam beautifully, she also demonstrated the capybara's legendary ability to turn a deaf ear.

Netizens cried, "I'm in love!" "I'm in love!"

They heard she had bipolar disorder, so someone deliberately provoked her, trying to make her lose her temper and give her a scandal.

But after all that provocation, their mouth was dry from talking, and Xue Cha still hadn't said a word in protest.

Wasn't she supposed to have a bad temper?

They heard she was afraid of furry animals. What a coincidence: the zoo was full of them.

She wasn't afraid of pandas, monkeys, or penguins. Surely she'd be scared of crocodiles, foxes, or snakes?

But the haters waited and waited, and Xue Cha never showed the slightest hint of fear.

Instead, every animal acted strangely around Xue Cha. A pelican used its beak to comb her hair, a panda shared half its apple with her, a penguin clung to her leg, a crocodile insisted she ride on its back, and a polar bear wanted to show her its "new home"...

Most absurd of all, even the capybaras at the zoo, usually the least excitable animals, lined up to hug Xue Cha and invited her to sunbathe with them!

Xue Cha spread her hands helplessly. "What can I say? Capybaras are the animal kingdom's laid-back social butterflies."

Netizens watching the live stream all said the same thing: Shipping Xue Cha with any animal was ridiculously easy!

Xue Cha became famous, and her laid-back attitude went viral online.

People discovered that once they steadied their minds, they worried less, slowed down, and realized just how beautiful the world could be!
