The Divine Beast Becomes a Showbiz Sensation

Bai Ze, an ancient divine beast, can speak and understand the nature of all things. She knows the affairs of gods and ghosts and can ward off every evil spirit in the human world. She is the undisputed number one divine beast.

After sleeping for ten thousand years, she awakens to find she has transmigrated into the entertainment industry as Bai Zhi, an obscure cannon-fodder actress.

The original owner had a terrible reputation in the industry and was mocked by the entire internet. Everyone was waiting for her to announce her retirement.

Bai Ze curls her lips. She’s got a rebellious streak and plans to lean into it.

On her first regular variety show, she has to interact with animals. Everyone is waiting for her to make a fool of herself, and no one expects her to do well.

Instead, the cows and sheep fawn over her, the dogs and ducks show off their cuteness, and even the village bully of a goose turns into a perfect little angel when it sees Bai Zhi.

Bai Zhi appears on a show about the occult and meets a famous metaphysics expert in the industry.

“Miss Bai, your destiny is incredibly complicated. Wear this peachwood bracelet I blessed to change your fate. It’s only 999,000 yuan, a guaranteed bargain.”

Bai Zhi says, “That’s it? Remember to watch your right foot when you go out tomorrow.”

A haunted house is plagued by ghosts, with screams ringing out at midnight.

A popular show about exploring haunted houses launches, and Bai Zhi is invited to join.

Before filming begins, haters and marketing accounts alike start shouting, eager to see Bai Zhi flee in terror.

After filming begins, every haunted house Bai Zhi visits stops making ghostly noises at night, and the withered plants around the houses come back to life.

The haunted houses become blessed places, and the people living nearby are showered with good luck.

Haters and marketing accounts spend the night crawling on their knees to apologize, all hoping to get a little of Bai Zhi’s good fortune.

Bai Zhi becomes famous. Her reputation makes a complete turnaround, her popularity skyrockets, and she gets flooded with endorsements and ads. She even earns the title “Bai Ze in the Human World.”

Her fans cheer: “Worship Bai Zhi to ward off evil! Follow Bai Zhi to gain good fortune!”
