*It'll probably be a short story, just tens of thousands of words, or perhaps a little over a hundred thousand.

At thirteen, Takeuchi Nagi and Hagiwara Kenji officially became a couple.

At twenty, Takeuchi Nagi and Hagiwara Kenji were separated by life and death.

But it was all right. They had promised they would never be apart.

Because of her unusual constitution, Takeuchi Nagi accidentally made contact with Hell. Hell was short-staffed, so they pressed her into service. She helps Hell deal with trouble in the living world whenever they don't have enough staff to send someone out on a mission.

After learning of her lover's death, she rushed straight to Hell to meet King Enma and Hell's deputy director. She talked with them, made a deal, signed a contract, and finally managed to bring Hagiwara Kenji, now a spirit, back as her assistant so he could stay by her side.

Takeuchi Nagi calmly said something terrifying: "This is Kenji's fault for breaking his promise. No arguing."

Hagiwara Kenji, spirit version, had no intention of arguing. He gazed at his ridiculously adorable lover with a grin. "You're scary, Nagi~"

Then, just a few years later, Hagiwara Kenji's former colleagues began arriving in Hell one after another.

Takeuchi Nagi: "...Being a police officer really is dangerous."

Hagiwara Kenji exclaimed, "Wow, she's the last one left!"

Lord Hozuki, Hell's deputy director, had just gained a whole host of full-time infernal workhorses*n, including future recruits: ^^
