Information Broker "Phaethon"

Starting in the Pacific Ocean, a mysterious substance began to erode the world. Places all over the world were affected to varying degrees.

People who were eroded turned into monsters.

People who stayed too long in the "hollow zones" formed by the erosion also turned into monsters.

Scientists studied this strange phenomenon and discovered that...

To stop the erosion, they had to eliminate the "infection source" deep inside the "hollow zones".

To put an end to the erosion for good, they had to find a special "core" and destroy it completely.

But the "hollow zones" were filled with countless monsters created by the erosion...

A new video store called "Random Play" has opened in Yokohama. According to rumors circulating underground, the store's secret business is connected to the "hollow zones," which they call "Hollows." The owner claims to be an information broker who can put people in touch with proxies and agents capable of dealing with the "infection source."

The two owners of the video store are very young.

One is lively and cheerful, the other gentle and gracious.

"Welcome to Random Play. What would you like to watch?"

"If you need anything, we'll provide you with the best service we can for the price."
