Akaashi Keiji has a cousin who is a girl.

Because of her parents' jobs, she has often had to transfer schools. Now she has transferred back to Tokyo and is living with his family.

He has always worried about his cousin. Her mood is always cloudy, and she rarely seems to brighten up. Now that she has transferred to Fukurodani, she looks like something is weighing on her mind.

Being the considerate younger cousin he is, Akaashi Keiji immediately starts a heart-to-heart.

It turns out to be relationship troubles.

His cousin has a boyfriend she's been dating since their third year of middle school. Because of her personality, she's always had a rather gloomy attitude toward the relationship, and she never expected it to last this long.

As he listens, Akaashi Keiji falls silent.

Why does the boyfriend his cousin is describing sound so much like their volleyball team's ace, Bokuto-senpai?

It's just a coincidence.

Yeah, it must be a coincidence.

The world can't possibly be that small.

Until the ace of Fukurodani sees his cousin and instantly comes out of his slump, eyes shining as he rushes over.

"Rin!"
