Roar

A short story, probably around 200,000 Chinese characters.

[Top's POV, with the leads fighting each other]

Tong Yuan: My short-tempered wife.

Bai Ying: My hypermasculine husband.

A story about seeing who can shout louder.

Tong Yuan travels halfway across China to catch his second older sister, who's run off with a kept man. When he gets there, he gives the guy a thorough beating.

The man runs off in terror, and Tong Yuan only sneers.

As if! Tong Yuan's fighting skills are no joke!

But the kept man isn't done. He calls over a young, strapping helper, but Tong Yuan isn't scared.

One guy? He'll beat him up. Two? Same deal!

Just as he'd finally dealt with that awful mess, another problem lands in his lap.

He'd started his own company and run it full throttle until it was delisted. His father couldn't stand to watch any longer, so he spent a fortune hiring a team from overseas to bring it back from the brink.

The first time Tong Yuan meets the team leader, he thinks the man looks familiar.

Wait, isn't he related to that kept man he fought the other day?!

*

Tong Yuan gives him the cold shoulder, and Bai Ying doesn't take it lying down. Every day, they trade heated insults and beat each other up.

Slapping each other is nothing unusual.

Whenever their eyes meet,

Tong Yuan and Bai Ying: "Ptooey!"

[Content warnings]

1. If you're particular about who dominates, read with caution. It's hard to tell who'll be beating whom.

2. The blurb is only a few lines, and I'm not changing it. Basically, it's a story about two people fighting their way into bed together~
