The Shore of the Curse: Prophecy of the Azure Eyes

After searching the Kingdom of Kou without finding its king, the kirin Han Ki finally decides to open a passage to Wa through a shoku. He lands in Shinjuku, where he sees...

A "youma" fighting his own king?

Han Ki: ???

The kirin's instincts drive him to stand in front of his king and recite a spell to subdue the "youma."

*

Satoru Gojo is stunned. While fighting Ryomen Sukuna, a golden-haired weirdo suddenly drops out of the sky. Not only does this stranger subdue Ryomen Sukuna with a strange incantation, he then turns around and kneels before Gojo.

Satoru Gojo: ???

*

Han Ki has finally found his king. Kneeling before him, he swears:

"I obey the will of Heaven and welcome my lord.

I shall not leave your side or disobey your commands.

I swear my loyalty."

Unfortunately, his king seems a little slow on the uptake. He just stares at Han Ki without moving.

Keitai Fu seemed to have taught him what to do in this situation...

Han Ki looks up at Satoru Gojo. "My lord, please say, 'I accept.'"

The contract feels like a binding spell, and Satoru Gojo answers without a second thought:

"I refuse. I refuse."

Han Ki: ???

Wait, Keitai Fu never taught him this.

*

Good news: The Kingdom of Kou has a king. We're saved.

Bad news: The king refuses to take the throne.

Good news: Keitai Fu taught Han Ki how to handle this.

Bad news: He taught him wrong.

*

This is bad. If King Han still refuses the throne, Han Ki will turn thirty and die.

Why not just tell King Han?

Would that work?

He seems soft-hearted. Might as well try.

Six Eyes top x kirin bottom

Reader's note:

◇ Twelve Kingdoms x Jujutsu Kaisen. Slice of life, and I have no idea what else to write, so I'm opening preorders to keep myself motivated.

◇ Crack pairing, OOC, a self-indulgent creation.

◇ Niche premise, probably a short story.

Bonus scene:

When Han Ki learns that King Han refuses to take the throne, he is very troubled. King Youko of Kei says:

"Why do you believe what Keiki taught you? When he suddenly appeared in front of me, he knelt, swore an oath, and told me to say, 'I accept.' Then, when I was being chased by a Gu Diao, he tossed me a sword and said, 'I'm afraid of blood. Please pick up this sword and fight, my lord.'"

King Youko fumes: "Who started the rumor that Keiki is reliable?"

Theme: A kirin meets the god with a soft heart.
