The Tenth Year's Thaw

My name is Lin Peiyu, and I work in corporate legal affairs.

I accidentally saw a text from my boss about trying to get with his assistant.

The executive assistant is beautiful and kindhearted. I couldn't bear to stand by, so I warned her to watch out for workplace harassment.

The next week, HR called me in for a meeting and said they were transferring me to another position.

I refused.

Go ahead and fire me if you dare.

Illegal termination means two times the compensation. I did the math: after more than five years on the job and my prorated year-end performance bonus, it would come to nearly 500,000 yuan.

This whole thing didn't seem so bad anymore.

-

Just as I was getting ready to work toward that 500,000 yuan, the CEO suddenly confessed his feelings to me.

Talking about feelings is too costly. Let's talk money instead.

All this talk about love, love, love... I clearly haven't been working enough.

-

This is the tenth year Ming Xu has had a crush on Lin Peiyu.

This year, the snow melts and the flowers bloom.
