A Transmigrator's Guide to Slacking Off

The Zhu family always produces hopeless romantics. Take my older brother, who fell in love with my older sister.

That wouldn't have been a problem in itself. After all, one is her cousin and the other her legitimate elder sister, and their kinship would pose no obstacle to marriage in this era. If things went well, they'd even be strengthening family ties.

The problem is that my sister has a fiance, and the two of them are happily in love. My brother has only two ways to bump my future brother-in-law out of the picture and take his place: either steal the bride or become the other man.

The trouble is, my brother is one of the leading contenders for the throne, and neither reality nor morality will allow him the slightest stain on his reputation.

As the saying goes, what you can't have is always best.

Another saying goes: It doesn't matter whether a forcibly twisted melon is sweet; what matters is the twisting.

And another: When romance gets mixed up in a tale of political intrigue, bystanders are bound to suffer.

Oh, what a mess this has become.

I'm that bystander.
