Ritual Nightmare

A god and a mortal.

Zheng Lianqing is an unlucky soul with an unusual fate, constantly haunted by ghosts.

To protect himself, he brings a shrine home and kneels before it day and night. He becomes safe, but things don't go so well for the god inside the shrine.

To Zheng Lianqing, the god is his talisman of protection. But to the god, Zheng Lianqing is his tribulation. From the very beginning, Shen Jinghan knew this mortal would become entangled with him. He knew Zheng Lianqing would bring him home, that he would protect him time and time again, and that he would wake from his slumber, fall into temptation, and fall in love with him.

Shen Jinghan, as a god, foresaw this ending from the start.

But even gods have a destiny. Zheng Lianqing is his tribulation of love, and the only way forward is to sever their bond.

But he can't. All he can do is succumb, sinking deeper and deeper.
