As a Hostage Prince, I Made the Enemy Crown Prince Fall for Me

The Yongning Kingdom was defeated and offered up a hostage.

At nineteen, the hostage Xiao Qingyuan entered the Molan Kingdom, where he became a discarded pawn, shut away and forgotten.

The snow in Molan was bitterly cold all night long. All he could do was clutch the little paper kite his elder brother, the Crown Prince, had given him. Like a silent, gentle piece of jade, he waited day after day. His brother had promised that one day he would come for him.

But Yongning was weak. How could there be any certainty about when he would return?

Xiao Qingyuan thought he would gaze toward his homeland forever, until someone stepped in front of him. That person wore black, just like his elder brother, but was cold and silent. Duan Xiangli, the Crown Prince of Molan, was like a sharp, icy blade. Yet this very blade had grown soft and tender for him.

Could love be used as a tool?

Xiao Qingyuan didn’t understand. But the image of his homeland appeared in his dreams night after night, and there was only one road that could take him back.

And so the deception began.

The gentle jade melted the heavy snow, and melted that blade, too. But embraces and kisses, however tender, would crumble when they were laced with falsehood.

The cool, gentle hostage from a fallen kingdom, Xiao Qingyuan / The Crown Prince who would slaughter the world for one person

If love can’t make you stay, then I’ll use hatred to keep you by my side.
