Is It Normal for a Fox to Give Birth to a Rabbit?

You might not believe this, but I gave birth to twins, and each baby has a different father.

Ji Zhinuan is a purebred Arctic fox. She and her husband are foxes going back ten generations, yet one of their twins turned out to be a rabbit.

It all started three months ago. On a dark and stormy night, she got drunk at a bar and mistook a handsome guy who looked a lot like her husband for him. Before she knew it, she had gone home and slept with him.

That handsome guy was an Arctic hare.

Not long afterward, she got pregnant.

But the next day, after she got home, Jiang Yubai had just returned from a trip and pulled her into bed for a round of this and that, so she couldn't be sure who the babies belonged to.

From then on, she was constantly on edge.

I can't be that unlucky, can I?

It was only one time!

And foxes and rabbits are reproductively incompatible!

The nurse held up a little fox and another, unidentified rabbit. The truth was plain to see.

Her doctor friend declared it a medical miracle.

She warned her friend not to tell anyone, hid the little rabbit, and carefully went about her days so her husband wouldn't find out.

"Why did you buy so many berries and herbs?"

"I'm losing weight and getting back in shape after giving birth."

"A Nuan, our daughter said today that her little rabbit brother is so cute. Did you take her hunting?"

"The kid must have had a weird dream."

"A Nuan, why do you smell like a rabbit?"

"We had rabbit hot pot for dinner."

"...Mm."

Waaah, honey, believe me... I really didn't cheat on you!

I swear!

Jiang Yubai is a fox-hare hybrid who was driven out of the Arctic hare clan as a child. To keep his mixed heritage secret, he had to live disguised as a fox for years, and that was how he met Ji Zhinuan.

He always thought he had done a great job of hiding his identity, until the day he went to pick Ji Zhinuan up at the bar. After she got him drunk, he revealed his true form.

But she didn't seem to realize it was him.

And now, one of their children has turned out to be a rabbit.

Watching Ji Zhinuan try her hardest every day to hide the existence of the other child... Should he consider telling her the truth?

After all, she's gotten to the point of drooling over the poor little rabbit.

Youth comes at no price, and my son is so tender he melts in your mouth.
