After the Curse Was Lifted, the Prince Chased His Wife to the Crematorium

Yin Wumeng had completely lost control of her mind to the Passion Gu. Even as she fought it, she shamelessly pressed herself against him.

Not long afterward, she got her wish and latched onto Xiao Zhuo, following him to the capital.

Every full-moon night, the scene in that mountain cave would play out all over again. Sometimes, in the midst of passion, Yin Wumeng would come to her senses and feel his disgusted gaze from above. It filled her with both pleasure and pain.

-

She stayed by Xiao Zhuo's side through his repeated rises and falls, sharing every hardship with him, and thought she had warmed his heart.

Until she accidentally heard him say:

"She's nothing but a lowly concubine. Mother, you're worrying over nothing. I'll get rid of her before A Yin enters the household."

Xu Yin was the legitimate daughter of the Chancellor's family and Xiao Zhuo's childhood sweetheart.

Yin Wumeng finally understood why, the first time she was driven by the poison, he had harshly ordered her to leave, only to kiss her when he saw the tears in her eyes.

She and Xu Yin had very similar eyes.

When he kissed her eyes with a lovesick expression at the height of their passion, who was the "Yinniang" he called?

-

Yin Wumeng fell seriously ill, and the child she was carrying miscarried. But she remembered her past.

Many years ago, she had not been called Yin Wumeng. Her name had been Shen Tangyin, the former emperor's most beloved princess.

The hero's perspective:

Xiao Zhuo was always dreaming of a pair of tear-filled eyes, keeping him restless night after night.

At first, he thought the eyes belonged to Xu Yin, the Chancellor's daughter.

Only later did he learn that they belonged to Yin Wumeng, the shameless woman he'd rescued from a bandit den.

Sadly, by the time he learned the truth, she had already died in a fire, going to the underworld along with the child she never got to meet.

He rushed to the fire, cradled her charred corpse, and wept until his heart broke. Overcome with grief and rage, he violently coughed up blood.

-

The day he discovered who had set the fire, he flew into a rage and nearly strangled the princess consort in front of everyone.

From that point on, Xiao Zhuo fell into a complete stupor, no matter how grief-stricken his father and mother were.

Then one day, he heard that the palace had captured rebels from the former dynasty, including a princess of the old court.
