Violent Instinct

Valsis is the commander of the Laiya Empire's Third Legion, hailed as "the Empire's sharpest sword."

One day, Karanto, leader of the enemy organization Waste Star, sends a "double" who looks almost exactly like Valsis to infiltrate the legion, intending to kill Valsis and take his place.

Valsis has long grown weary of the endless assassinations and infiltrations, and this time he suddenly decides to play for higher stakes.

So he interrogates and kills the "double," announces that "Valsis" is dead, then assumes the double's identity and sneaks into the double's base, Waste Star.

To uncover Waste Star's secrets, Valsis diligently plays the role of the "double," fitting right in with the organization. He even ends up in the bed of Waste Star's leader, Karanto. At last, he learns all of Waste Star's secrets and successfully makes his way back to the legion.

Until one day, his cover is blown.

Karanto appears before Valsis like a ghost, his tone gentle but dangerous:

"Valsis, if you chose to play the part, then you should keep playing it forever."
