Inkstone-maker seme * poetry-collector uke, 1v1, both virgins
There is another you in the mirror.
On the surface, they look exactly like you. Their achievements determine your limits.
And when they decide to steal your identity, you are powerless, your eyes filled with resentment.
Xing Qiuyun and Lu Mingyu wake up in an unfamiliar place.
Confused, they carry on with the respectable jobs of poetry collecting and inkstone making left behind by their mirror doubles, all the while knowing full well that they are outsiders despised by the villagers.
But they remember nothing.
Are they alive? Dead? Or merely clinging to life?
Xing Qiuyun and Lu Mingyu keep quiet, following the principle of saving whoever they can, and run into their junior schoolmates.
Their juniors have caught the attention of a group of locals and are in trouble.
As they navigate the situation, the childhood friends realize something is wrong.
They aren't the only ones who have been held back and unable to leave.
They mustn't be replaced. They have to reclaim their identities.
A little scene:
"Do you love me?" Lu Mingyu asks Xing Qiuyun, turning his back to him.
"What are you babbling about?" Xing Qiuyun has none of the romantic flair you'd expect from a childhood friend in mutual love. He grabs the bamboo pole beside him.
Blood seeps from Lu Mingyu's eyes. "You love me."
Xing Qiuyun limps along on an injured leg, but can't bring himself to strike.
The door behind them shuts by itself, though there's no wind. Lu Mingyu closes in, step by step. "Then..."
Be with me, with all your heart.
Coming soon: Big Shot Lives in My Dreams
Post-apocalyptic wasteland, supernatural abilities, uke is reborn
Blunt, hot-tempered, down-on-his-luck young master seme Qiu Sui * gloomy, unhinged, obsessive beauty uke Xi Xi
Qiu Sui is a young master whose family has fallen on hard times.
He spent his childhood surrounded by luxury, but now he's reduced to living in a tiny rented apartment.
And ever since his family went bankrupt and was liquidated, he has dreamed every night. He always dreams of a torrential downpour.
The rain falls over the familiar city, and he can see that alley as soon as he opens his window.
But at the end of the alley, there is always someone standing and watching the rain.
The person holds a black umbrella, gazing at the distant, overcast sky without a word.
For ten years, the man watches the rain, while Qiu Sui watches him through the rain.
One day, Qiu Sui is so hungry that all he can do is lie in bed, staring blankly.
The rain pattering in his dream sounds more desolate than ever, while the man under the umbrella continues watching it without a care.
Qiu Sui runs down the alley and grabs the man's hand, wanting to demand who he is.
But the man only kisses his cheek. "We'll meet again, on the day your fortunes turn."
Qiu Sui isn't buying it, even if the man is incredibly handsome.
He's always been chaste, and now some strange man has kissed him in a dream!
Perhaps he feels guilty, because Qiu Sui never dreams of the rain again, nor does he ever see that man.
In real life, Qiu Sui is burdened with enormous debts. He gets rejected from job after job, keeps tripping whenever he goes out, and even when he buys a bottle of soda, he always gets the dreaded "Thanks for playing."
He thought the man was the source of his bad luck, but his fortunes never changed. The end of the month is approaching, and Qiu Sui is starving, staring blankly at the sky.
At midnight, the patter of rain reaches his ears again.
Qiu Sui opens the window. The man is waiting in the same place, exactly as he was in the dream.
He rushes out of his room. The man turns around, smiling brightly. "It's been a long time. I'm Xi Xi."
Xi Xi knows that if he doesn't come, Qiu Sui will spend the rest of his life dreaming nothing, living an ordinary life without beginning or end.
But he has no choice but to come.
Because Qiu Sui's ordinary life is a grand dream he wove.
That is the time they borrowed from the heavens.
Qiu Sui begs him to end this miserable existence, and Xi Xi agrees. Even he can't keep up the dream he has been creating day after day for ten years.
And so the rain crosses from the dream into reality.
Later generations call it the "Prison."
And Xi Xi, reborn into this world, is the savior holding the key to survival within the prison.
Qiu Sui thought he would be free forever, but now he has no choice but to follow Xi Xi and set out on a heroic journey he never imagined.
Theme: We aren't born saviors. We're just two stowaways in the apocalypse, trying to ferry others to safety.
